People judge fictional characters way too quickly and easily to be honest. In real life, people only ever show you what they want you to see (or what they can't avoid showing you). It's a bit more justifiable to judge them purely based on that. But, usually, fictional characters are shown in their entirety.
I personally dont look people in eye when i talk to them. I have no idea why, im over 30 and have been this way my whole life but i cant for the life of me look people in the eye when i talk to them. Some people are just like that.
The family signs were especially interesting, since in the sign language that I'm familiar with (Finnish Sign Language), signs that involve the little fingers are for more distant family members (COUSIN, for example), whereas in JSL both SISTER and GRANDMOTHER involve the little finger.
